Cost & Usage Analysis in the AWS Billing Dashboard with Invoices and CSV Files

I performed an analysis of my cost and usage through the following steps:

• View AWS Invoices: I went to the Billing Dashboard & then Orders and Invoices. (Note as of this week, AWS is updating this page and the interface will not look the same as in Image 1). I was then able to view individual invoices.

• View cost and usage in detail: I remained on the Billing Dashboard, but this time selected Bills on the lefthand menu. I was then able to select specific dates and services, then view the corresponding charges and line items.
• Download your monthly cost and usage file: On the same page as step 2 (Bills), you can download the data of your bills in a comma-separated value file (.csv) as seen in Image 2 which provides cost & usage data in a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet can then be manipulated as a table, where respective costs and usages can be sorted alphabetically, numerically, largest to smallest, smallest to largest, etc.
